Dollar, who runs the College Park, Ga., church with his wife, Taffi, are estimated to have a personal fortune of $27 million, according to therichest.org. The church itself is estimated to generate tens of millions of dollars each year.
Dollar appeared to make references to his arrest Friday on his Twitter account, where he has more than 141,000 followers.
"The fight has already been won. We are just walking it out. ‪#Redeemed," the pastor wrote.
Twitter user @Ac0ustic_Soul pointed out the irony in Dollar's tweet.
"Creflo Dollar tweeting the fight has already been won. Probably a bad choice of words," the user said.
Supporters took to Twitter following his arrest. "Creflo Dollar" was a hot trending topic Friday on the micro-blogging site.
"@Creflo_Dollar Praying for you. Trials and tribulations, God is still with us. He said touch not my anointing and do my prophets no harm," tweeted Twitter user @gwennie_thepooh.
"Im sorry but I aint mad at Creflo Dollar, I dont have teenagers but alot of these kids are out of control," opined user @jes_is_speakin.
Twitter user Jordan King said Dollar's detractors shouldn't rush to judgment.
"How yall wanna crucify Pastor Creflo Dollar for getting arrested when yall have done/are doing much worse?? Lol. ‪#OnlyPeople."
User @WhittleZworld echoed that sentiment.
"The details for the arrest for Creflo Dollar haven't been released yet," she said. "Don't jump to conclusions, it could be complete bs."
